With the global economic environment growing more and more uncertain, gold has become the #1 alternative for IRA. Many are “afraid of stocks,” particularly in this go-go market. Your broker might recommend a greater diversification of your investments. You may deposit your money with the bank, Plus, for many, buy bullion is a better option than leave it there.

In such a low interest rate environment, it may still be good for investors to consider investing some money in bullion because they might be able to achieve a higher return than cash deposits.

Speculating in gold involves great risk but promises great rewards, as the price goes up and down so quickly. if the price of gold bullion has risen, you would make a profit. You can buy gold bullion on Goldcoinsgain.Com. It is an Aurum Advisors website that strives to provide their clients very useful information about America’s gold IRA, gold bullion investment, and gold price.

Given that gold in general will give you higher returns than savings in the long run, this is why many fund managers advise investors to put a significant portion of their wealth in gold and hold on to them.

You should study ways of channeling investment into the proper areas. So dont hesitate, request your free gold guide and buy bullion now.

Designed by Continuum Fashion, the N12 if the first completely 3D-printed, ready-to-wear, item of clothing. Previous experiments into the use of 3D printing in clothing have remained purely experimental, haute couture items not available to purchase. This represents the first affordable design that will lead the way for more items fabricated using 3D printing technologies.

“The bikini’s design fundamentally reflects the beautiful intricacy possible with 3D printing, as well as the technical challenges of creating a flexible surface out of the solid nylon. Thousands of circular plates are connected by thin springs, creating a wholly new material that holds its form as well as being flexible. The layout of the circle pattern was achieved through custom written code that lays out the circles according to the curvature of the surface. In this way, the aesthetic design is completely derived from the structural design.” Mary Haung, Continuum Fashion

The N12 is named after Nylon 12 (WSF), the material in which the bikini is 3D printed. Nylon 12 makes an ideal swimsuit material as it is innately waterproof. As well as being the first 3D printed bikini, it is also the first bikini that actually becomes more comfortable when it gets wet.

The N12 was designed using Rhino 3D CAD software and specially written algorithmic script to create the structure of the 3D printed fabric. The algorithm uses a complex ‘circle packing’ equation on an arbitrarily doubly curved surface (the bikini). The size of the circles responds to curvature and edge conditions of the form, creating smooth edges and a responsive pattern.

Digital Fabrics and Patterning

The patterning starts with a curved surface, some geometry to indicate edges and value ranges for the circles sizes and tolerance parameters. The pattern begins placing circles at a point near the edge. Each subsequent circle tries to stay as near to the nearest edge geometry at possible. The circle’s size is determined using this nearness and the local curvature of the surface. Curvier areas get small circles and flatter areas larger, both to help with accurately approximating the surface and to ensure flexibility where it is needed and efficiency of pattern where it is not.

Every time a bend or elbow is encountered in the surface edge, a small gap will be left in the pattern. Gaps will also occur near the middle distances between edges where the placement of the next circle is less certain. After the first level of pattern has been created, these open areas are infilled with smaller circles to ensure complete coverage, and to create a more interesting aesthetic pattern.

One of the goals of the circle patterning system is to be able to adapt it to any surface, at any size. This means that future articles of clothing can be produced using the same algorithm, this could be taken a step further into absolute customization by using a body scan to make a bespoke article of clothing, 3D printed to exactly fit that person only.

T-Splines 2.3 for Rhino Released Featuring Integration with Grasshopper and Orca3D

Integration with popular programs Grasshopper and Orca3D, as well as translation into Italian, French, and Spanish, further expands T-Splines’ usefulness for creating high-quality freeform designs.

Provo, UT May 3, 2010 — T-Splines, Inc., creators of precise and flexible 3D surface modeling tools with full industry standard compatibility, today announced the production release of T-Splines v2.3 for Rhino. T-Splines gives designers the ability to create high quality freeform models, edit them quickly, and export them for manufacturing directly without any remodeling.

T-Splines 2.3 features integration with two other products based on the Rhino platform, Grasshopper and Orca3D, localization in Italian, French, and Spanish, speed enhancements, and new precision modeling tools. A 25-saves free trial of T-Splines can be downloaded at http://www.tsplines.com/freetrial.

Users of Grasshopper, a popular generative modeling program based on Rhino, can now use freeform T-Spline shapes as the basis of Grasshopper-generated models. A T-Splines component for Grasshopper is also available for push-button conversion of meshes to NURBS.

“Using T-Splines with Grasshopper is the best way I have found to model complex and organic forms using parametric data,” said Rodrigo Medina of designplaygrounds.com. Examples of how to use T-Splines and Grasshopper can be found at http://www.tsplines.com/grasshopper.html.

The integration of T-Splines with Orca3D, a marine plugin based on Rhino, means that naval architects can cut sections through T-Splines hulls and these sections will update dynamically as control points are edited. T-Splines objects can also be used for Orca3D hydrostatics analysis and can have Orca3D weight/cost properties assigned to them. Learn more about how to use T-Splines and Orca3D together at http://www.tsplines.com/applications/marine.html.

The T-Splines plugin is now translated into Italian, French, and Spanish to further enable T-Splines users in these languages to take advantage of the ability of T-Splines to easily create smooth, freeform geometry that can be passed downstream to any CAD program.

T-Splines v2.3 also features a number of speedups, bug fixes, new tools for modeling with precision, and a 25-saves trial.

“T-Splines is of greatest value to the busiest designers, because it allows them to iterate more quickly between designs and converge on the desired shape,” said Matt Sederberg, CEO of T-Splines. “Since we recognize how little time designers have to try new software, we have now made available a free trial of T-Splines that has no time limit–the software is fully functional for 25-saves.”

T-Splines v2.3 is a free service release for existing users of T-Splines v2 for Rhino. New users can purchase the product for $599 or download a 25-saves free trial at http://www.tsplines.com/store.html.

About T-Splines
T-Splines, Inc. develops surface modeling software with optimal control and full industry standard compatibility for industrial designers and CAD professionals.
